Production Report

The Production Report is the shop-side view of the model: organized parts lists, material usage and raw costs (no profit markup - quoting lives in Customer Pricing). Open it from the Cabybara toolbar or menu ("Production Report").

Layout

Toolbar: Refresh, the scope toggle (Entire Model / Selection Only), a static IQD badge and the Export menu. Two banners appear when relevant: missing cost data ("N stock material(s) missing cost data..." with an Open Stock Catalog link) and thickness mismatches ("N panel(s) have thickness mismatch with their assigned stock material" - flagged when a panel's measured thickness differs from its stock by more than 0.5 mm). Summary cards: Cabinets, Standalone (when present), Sheet Parts, Total Area, Hardware, Total Cost.

Four tabs:

  • Sheets - one row per stock (Stock Material, Type, Thickness, Qty, Area, Rate, Subtotal; stockless parts group under "Unassigned"). Each row expands to its parts: Part, Cabinet, Material, Length, Width, Thickness, Area, Cost, and a zoom button. The Length value carries a grain arrow (vertical = grain along length, horizontal = along width), mismatched thickness carries a warning whose tooltip shows the expected value (the printed full report shows it inline), and engraved parts show a green note like "2× engrave D2" (D = depth in mm).
  • Hardware - Stock Item, Subtype, Qty, Cost/Unit, Subtotal.
  • Per Cabinet - an accordion per cabinet (name, type, dimensions, total, zoom) expanding to its parts and a cabinet total.
  • Summary - cost breakdown bars, grand total, cabinets ranked by cost, and key metrics.

Data is scanned on open and on Refresh or a scope change only - there is no auto-refresh. Dimensions are always measured live (scaling included); sheet counts and waste are deliberately absent - that is what Nesting computes.

Export

Every tab except Summary has its own Export menu, plus the toolbar's full-report export. Print exports open a formatted page in the browser (print or save as PDF from there); CSV exports ask where to save (UTF-8 with BOM so Arabic text opens correctly in Excel; cost columns are plain numbers).

  • Sheets: "Cut List (Print)" (part, material, cut sizes, engraving), "Cut List - Grouped (Print)" (identical parts merged with a Qty column), "All Panels (Print)" (adds area and cost), "Stock Summary (Print)", the two CSV variants, and "Print by Stock"
    • one cut list per stock, for handing each material's stack to the saw.
  • Hardware: "Shopping List (Print)" (item and quantity only), "Hardware with Costs (Print)", CSV.
  • Cabinets: "Cabinet Summary (Print)", "Full with Parts (Print)", and CSVs for cabinets or all parts.
  • Full report: print or CSV of everything in one document.

Customize & Export opens a modal to build your own export: section, detail level (grouped summary or flat detail; Hardware offers summary only), a filter to one stock (Sheets flat detail only), mm or cm for CSV dimensions (Sheets only; print is always mm), exact column choices, and three options - include a totals row, row numbers, and "Group identical parts" (which adds a Qty column automatically and is how grouping is enabled outside the grouped preset). Column choices are remembered while the dialog stays open. The Note, Pattern and Lighting columns (fed by the Panel Notes tool and the Components Manager) hide themselves in preset exports when no part carries a value; columns you tick explicitly are always kept.

Grouping rule (stated on the printout too): parts merge only when stock, material, cut dimensions, thickness, grain, outline shape (including holes, grooves and pockets), engravings and the production annotations (note, pattern, lighting) all match exactly - anything different keeps its own line. Part type is ignored on purpose, so symmetric left/right pairs merge; mixed groups label themselves like "2× Countertop Support / 2× Back Rail".
