Components Manager

The Components Manager is the spreadsheet view of the model: every cabinet, panel and hardware piece in one filterable table, with inline editing of names, tags, materials, stocks, grain, faces and production notes - singly or in bulk. Open it from the Cabybara toolbar or menu ("Components Manager"), or right-click any Cabybara component in the model and choose "Open in Components Manager" to jump straight to it with the search pre-filled.

The table

Cabinets are parent rows (with a panel-count badge) that expand to their panels; standalone panels and non-Cabybara components list flat. Unchecking "Cabinets" while keeping "Nested Panels" gives a flat all-panels view where each row links back to its cabinet. Columns:

• Name - double-click to rename. Rows with problems carry a warning marker whose tooltip lists the issues (see below).
• Definition, Tag, Type.
• Dimensions - cabinets show their stored size; panels show live measured geometry, so manually scaled panels show their true size.
• Material, Stock, Grain, Face - clickable badges that open small pickers and apply immediately.
• Price - the customer price (markup included) from the assigned stock; the Production Report's Cost column is the pre-markup figure, so the two intentionally differ.
• Actions - zoom to the component, make unique, delete.

The status bar counts what is shown and, when rows are checked, prices the selection ("N selected - X IQD") - a quick way to quote a set of parts.

Search, filters and scope

Live search over names, definitions and (for panels) types and parent cabinet names; it auto-expands cabinets with matching panels. The sidebar filters by kind (Cabinets / Nested Panels / Standalone Panels / Other Components / Only problems), by model scope (Everything / Visible in model / Selected in model - snapshots taken at the last refresh), and by cabinet type, panel type, material, tag and stock. "Reset All Filters" clears everything except the model scope - switch that back to Everything yourself. Every column header sorts except Actions.

The sidebar's Select All Mode (Both / Cabinets only / Panels only) controls what Select All and Ctrl+A pick. It is remembered between opens - as are the kind checkboxes, "Only problems" and the sort - so a reduced table after reopening usually means one of these was left set. Search, scope and the per-value filters always reset.

Editing

Every change is a named SketchUp operation - one Ctrl+Z undoes it, including a whole bulk action. Inline badge pickers cover material (from your library), tag (search or create on the spot), stock (the full stock assignment contract: grain follows the stock unless set manually, the stock's material can repaint the part, and assigning a stock to a plain component adopts it as a Cabybara panel), grain (Length / Width / None, or Clear to follow the stock again - a value set here is "manual" and survives stock swaps) and face (Inside / Outside).

The bulk bar applies tag and material to all checked rows; stock, grain, face, production note, pattern and lighting apply to the checked panel rows (cabinet rows are skipped - those fields do not apply to them). Incompatible stock pairings are skipped and counted ("M skipped (incompatible stock type)"). Applying the Note or Pattern field while empty clears the value.

The View menu can Expand/Collapse all cabinets, Isolate Selected or Hide Selected in the model; "Show All (N)" restores exactly what the manager hid. Hiding or isolating acts on whole components - a checked nested panel hides its entire cabinet, since a panel inside a definition cannot be hidden alone. The CSV button exports the current filtered view (all columns plus an Issues column).

Deleting a nested panel edits the cabinet's shared definition - every copy of that cabinet loses the panel (the confirmation warns; Make Unique first if that is not what you want).

Make Selection Unique

A separate toolbar and menu command ("Make Selection Unique") for the same problem outside this window. Select one or more cabinets in the model and run it: each selected component, and every component nested inside it, gets its own definition, so editing one copy stops affecting the others. It reports how many components it processed (already-unique parts are counted too, so the number is not a tally of what was actually shared), and the whole sweep is one undo step.

It acts on components. A plain group is ignored, both in the selection and when nested inside a selected component.

Copies of Cabybara cabinets are separated for you automatically unless you turned off "Auto-unique copied cabinets" in Settings, so reach for this command in the cases that watcher does not cover: copies made before the setting existed, copies made while you were inside a group or component edit context, and plain components that Cabybara does not recognise as cabinets.

Problem detection

Rows are flagged for: no stock (skipped by nesting and pricing), missing face metadata (nesting will refuse it), grain set on a grainless stock, a panel with a per-piece stock or hardware with a sheet stock (priced the wrong way), unknown panel type, zero-size geometry, and disconnected solids (only the outline-connected body nests and exports). "Only problems" filters to these.

Freshness

The table is a snapshot. Adding or deleting components at the model root shows a "model changed outside the manager" pill with a Refresh button; edits inside a cabinet or group, moves, repaints and renames do not trigger it - refresh (button or Ctrl+R) when in doubt. Refresh also reloads the material, tag and stock choice lists. Checking rows selects the matching components in the model (a nested panel selects its cabinet); the reverse direction is a snapshot used only by the "Selected in model" scope.

Keyboard: Ctrl+A select all listed, Ctrl+F search, Ctrl+R refresh, Delete (with confirmation), Escape closes popovers.
